Kilt Farm is an incredible place to work. We grow the best food in Boulder County and focus on the health and wellbeing of the land, our plants and our people. We work Monday through Friday and send our food to restaurants, grocery stores, and our csa members through out Boulder/Denver Metro Area, and Fort Collins.
In order to make the magic happen, we first build a strong team. All of our employees have a commitment and passion to grow and deliver the highest quality food possible. We work as a team throughout the season to get the job done. Our CSA is unique as we were the first farm in Colorado to offer a fully customizable CSA. We now serve over 300 families at pick up sites and home delivery through out Boulder County.
Duties and Responsibilities of our CSA Lead.
- Work with the Farm Manager and Owner to Build the Weekly CSA Menu.
- Update our online CSA Platform on a weekly basis.
- Print CSA Labels and perform quality checks on orders
- Work with Wash and Pack Lead to insure a smooth pack for our CSA boxes.
- Train and manage staff for CSA distributions.
- Work with Delivery Driver to insure correct home delivery of our CSA Boxes
- Manage Email communication between farm and CSA customers.
- Work as Field Staff on farm tasks as needed through out the week. This may include transplanting, weeding, harvesting, seeding and other tasks as determined by Farm Manager.
- Assist in the pack house with washing produce, packaging produce and preparing orders.
- Must be able to stand, bend, and squat for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and work in all weather conditions
- Commit to the entire season
Successful candidates must have excellent written and verbal communications skills, exceptional customer service skills, competency in Excel, Word and the ability to learn our computer systems. Proven leadership skills with a desire to learn and support others to learn our systems is vital. Farming can be full of time pressure, deadlines and stress so you must be able to manage all of these in order This is a full time, seasonal position that runs from April to November.
Salary range is $18 to $21 an hour depending on experience . All employees receive food from the farm through out the season.
